It is reported that the cherry blossoms in the Haishu Park are the earliest planted cherry blossom forest in the urban area of Ningbo. It was a gift given to the citizens of Ningbo by the Japanese delegation during their friendly visit to Ningbo in 1983, when the Japanese city of Nagaokakyo established a sister-city relationship with Ningbo. It has been 42 years since then and these trees are also the oldest cherry blossom trees in the entire urban area of Ningbo. This variety has a tall tree shape, bright and colorful flowers, lush and vigorous branches and leaves, and a flowering period that can last for a month. It has now entered its peak flowering period.
