On October 20, 2024, the Second "Joyful Riding" Cup Guanding Lake Cycling Climbing Race was held in the Longguan Township. This race was hosted by the People's Government of the Longguan Township and undertaken by the Haishu District Bicycle Association and other units. The track was set in the northern section of the sports ring road in the central part of the Longguan Township, relying on the "most beautiful highway" of Dazhuang-Guanding Line - starting from the Changgen and passing through the Banshan Village to the Guanding Lake, with a total distance of 10.5 kilometers and a climbing height of 500 meters, attracting 300 cycling enthusiasts to participate.

At around 8 o'clock in the morning, with the loud sound of the opening whistle, the participants rushed out of the starting point in an orderly manner to participate in competitions of the women's group, men's mountain group, and men's road group, and entered the ecological "secret realm" where the autumn colors gradually intensified in the fragrance of osmanthus flowers.

It is reported that the Longguan Township has a forest coverage rate of up to 86%, with high-quality ecology and more than 60 species of nationally protected animals and plants. It is the first biodiversity-friendly township in China. At the same time, as one of the third batch of sports and leisure township cultivation units in the Zhejiang Province, Longguan vigorously shapes the mountain and outdoor "secret realm" system, and has built a demonstration base for sports and leisure tourism in the Zhejiang Province, as well as boutique sports tourism projects in the Yangtze River Delta region.

With the continuous enrichment of sports and leisure carriers, Longguan integrates biodiversity-friendly protection into it, forming a new brand connotation of "Ecological Longguan, Secret Adventure, Sports at Will, Guarding as Always".

"The difficulty of the race was not high, but the closeness to the mountains and waters was high. The contestants and volunteers not only enjoyed the beautiful sceneries of the Siming Mountain area during the race, but also actively practiced the concept of environmental protection." A relevant person in charge of the organizing committee of the race introduced that the opening ceremony borrowed local school venues and sceneries to reduce material waste; the race timing adopts recyclable timing chips, which not only ensure fairness and accuracy, but also achieve recycling; the garbage at the finish line and supply points of the race was voluntarily taken down the mountain by the participants; Cui Jingjing and Cui Zengzeng, the sister "new entrepreneurs" in the countryside, took the opportunity of the race to set up a long-term "Lvyun Tongxin Cycling Station" to provide tea, leisure space and bicycle maintenance equipment for tourists, and actively promote the concept of environmental protection and biodiversity protection.
