The hot cultural and tourism market in Haishu during the Spring Festival holiday concludes

The "hot" Spring Festival holiday has ended. How about Haishu's cultural tourism market during the Spring Festival of the Year of the Dragon?

On February 18, the reporters learnt from the Haishu District Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Film, Tourism and Sports that during this year's Spring Festival, the number of tourists and total tourism revenue in the entire district reached a historic new high. During the 8-day holiday, the total revenue of 27 tourist hotels in the district reached 19.965 million yuan, with an increase of 11.53% compared to that of the same period last year; the room occupancy rate was 54.97%, i.e., an increase of 26.26% compared to that of the same period last year. The total passenger flow of 6 A-level scenic spots in the entire district reached 110,300, increased by 50.22% compared to that of the same period last year; the total operating revenue reached 2.4251 million yuan, with an increase of 22% compared to that of the same period last year.

During the Spring Festival holiday, Haishu launched a series of activities with the theme of "Fun Playing with the Dragons Flying in Haishu", radiating four major areas, including the Drum Tower, the Chenghuang Temple, the Nantang Ancient Street, the Tianyi Pavilion · Moon Lake Scenic Area, and more than 30 wonderful activities, which set off a warm and rich New Year festival atmosphere in the whole district. The flow of people has further reached its peak.

According to incomplete statistics, the total revenue of business along the Nantang Ancient Street reached 14.5525 million yuan, with an increase of 17.22% compared to that of the same period last year. The passenger flow of the block was about 474,800 person times, with an increase of 33.23% compared to that of the same period last year. The customer flow in the Gulou Block is about 350,000 person times, with an increase of nearly 27% over the same period of last year, and the customer flow in the Chenghuang Temple Block was more than twice that of last year.

In the the Year of the Dragon, "dragon" has become a well-deserved "traffic code". From February 10 to February 12, biomimetic technology dinosaurs with the theme of "restarting the Cretaceous period" were exhibited in Gulou, featuring both "Triceratops" and "Tyrannosaurus Rex" in a 1:1 ratio, weighing up to 2.3 tons, which instantly attracted hundreds and thousands of onlookers. Located on the north side of Cheese Park by the Lingqiao Bridge, a 20-meter long and 10-meter high "Dragon Prayer" device has been installed, attracting waves of citizens and tourists to come and enjoy, conveying the beautiful wishes of "encountering dragons at the Lingqiao Bridge, where waters gains miraculous for residing dragons".

During the Chinese New Year, participating in major events has also become a new trend. There's Wang Shengda's traditional grain and oil processing techniques, wheat-cake-making techniques... In the intangible cultural heritage market on the Nantang Ancient Street, there were more than 30 intangible cultural heritage booths outside the market, and the exhibition and sales of intangible cultural heritage New Year goods inside the market were also very popular. At the small square in Zone C of the Nantang Ancient Street area, there's also a luxurious and wild trend gathering, with a dazzling array of delicious food and New Year's goods, as well as interesting handicrafts, enabling people to feel the strong festival atmosphere of the Chinese New Year flavor in the hustle and bustle.

The "Chenghuang Night Market", located in the east of Chenghuang Temple in Ningbo, was also in full swing during the Spring Festival holiday. A wide range of cultural experience activities, such as sales of "New Year goods", onsite NPC scene performance, New Year themed interactive devices, performances and so on, were held, bringing a new wave of hustle and bustle experience to citizens and tourists.

At the Moon Lake Flower Island Small Square, a professional photographer team took photos for couples or families who came free of charge, capturing romantic moments.

 

High-end catering has also become too popular, with key tourist hotels such as the Sunshine Johnson Hotel, the Westin Hotel, and the Marriott Hotel taking the lead in revenue, reaching 2.064 million yuan, 1.9736 million yuan, and 1.8597 million yuan respectively. The holiday tourism market was generally stable.
