In the afternoon of October 7, Xu Qiang, Secretary of the CPC Haishu District Committee, went to the Haishu District Social Governance Center to receive people with information to report, or suggestions, complaints, or requests to raise. He stressed that we should adhere to the people-centered development thought, do well to receive people with information to report, or suggestions, complaints, or requests to raise from the height of politics, think about what the people want and what they need, earnestly safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the people, and comprehensively create a harmonious and stable social environment. Luo Xianbing, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Haishu District Committee and Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Commission, participated in the activity.

During the meeting, Xu Qiang carefully listened to the complaints of the masses, learning the cause of each matter in detail, and patiently replied and requested relevant functional departments to follow up in a timely manner, to complete the work within a limited time, and give the masses a satisfactory reply as soon as possible.

Xu Qiang emphasized that receiving people with information to report, or suggestions, complaints, or requests to raise is a bridge and link between the Party and the government and the masses. All departments and towns (townships) and subdistricts should always put the interests of the masses first, further enhance the sense of responsibility, mission and urgency, earnestly solve the reasonable and legitimate demands of the masses, and make sure that every issue is answered and settled. We should actively listen to the opinions of the masses, take the initiative to solve problems for the masses, take the satisfaction of the masses as the top standard, and truly carry out work for the benefit of the people.
