On November 19, “Glorious Charm of Haishu” ---Haishu District Art, Calligraphy and Photography Exhibition for the Celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China and the 1,200th Anniversary of the Founding of the Ningbo City was launched in the Ningbo Art Museum. The visitors embarked on a journey of visual enjoyment in the charming performance of a Yue Opera named “Liang Zhu”.

This year is the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China and coincides with the 1200th Anniversary of the Founding of the Ningbo City. The “Glorious Charm of Haishu” exhibition shows the glorious course and immortal achievements of the Communist Party of China in the form of art, calligraphy and photography, and deeply excavates major events, historical celebrities and cultural landscape in the historical development process of the construction of the Ningbo City. It is not only the display of the achievements that has been made by the CPC Haishu District Committee and the Haishu District people’s Government for the promotion of cultural construction, but also a centralized open display of the cultural soft power of the Haishu District, which is of positive significance to improve Haishu’s status as the core area of Ningbo being a famous historical and cultural city, as well as its urban image and cultural influence.

As is learnt, from May to the end of September, the organizing committee of the exhibition received more than 500 calligraphy, painting and photography pieces of work. After strict evaluation by municipal and provincial experts, 120 pieces of work were selected for the exhibition. The exhibition is to last until December 16.

It is worth mentioning that the exhibition adopts immersive exhibition layout for the first time, and sets up the Song Dynasty characterized culture exhibition with the content of Liang Zhu cultural performance, Tianyi Pavilion book collection culture performance, Song Dynasty characterized paintings, carvings, fragrance-making and so on.
