A good harvest depends on the spring sowing. With the harvest of Australian green lobsters thanks to the project of paddy and lobsters growing together, the rice of the project also ushers in a bumper harvest. Lately, 2 harvesters have been busy in a golden ocean of paddy fields of 3,000 mu owned by the Lvguang Grain Machinery Cooperative in the Jishigang Town.

As is learnt, compared with normal rice, the rice grown in fields where paddy and lobsters grow together uses no pesticides or chemical fertilizers in the process of planting. The yield per mu now reaches 600 kg. It is of higher quality though a bit less than that of the normal rice in quantity. (Photo/ Zhang Haohua and Li Disang)
