Ningbo Wang-Chun Industrial Zone is east to Airport Road, west of the municipal Ring Expressway, south to the Lishe Airport and with a total planned area of 31.5 square kilometers, 6.8 square kilometers of which being the core development area. As was established on December 28, 2002, Ningbo Wang-Chun Industrial Zone has been approved to be the provincial industrial park by the National Development and Reform Commission in 2006. Until now, it has become a national new high-tech industrial base for new energy and environment-friendly materials industry, provincial ecological construction and transformation demonstration park, provincial innovative industrial park, and Ningbo new energy production support. At present, the number of registered enterprises in the park is 608, of which 282 are industrial companies, 56 are sizable industrial enterprises, and 13 enterprises has a total output value of more than 0.1 billion. Companies such as the Japanese ITOCHU, Mitsui Real Estate, the United States AOI, and China North Industries Group Corporation, Shanshan Group, Ulica Solar, Zhejiang ECO-WASTE Technology and several well-known domestic and foreign companies have already settled down in the park.
